Robert Redford was a major screen presence, with a career that spanned 60 years. He began on television and starred on Broadway in the 1960s, and became one of the most successful actors of the 1970s and 1980s in films like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting and Out of Africa. He also directed and produced films, including Ordinary People for which he won the Academy Award as Best Director. He was a champion of environmental causes and founder of the Sundance Institute, home of the Sundance Film Festival for independent films. This look at his life and career will showcase his body of fine work that made him a giant of American cinema. Presented by Marc Courtade.
